At a pace of 2.600 litres per second and with 4760 light bulbs in many colors, the playing fountain leaves you speechless. The show takes place in front of the palace of Montjuich, near the Plaza España, and starts in the late afternoon. A splendid way to conclude a sunny day in Barcelona.
The time table:

May to October (summer) From Thrusday to Sunday at 21:30, 22:00, 22:30, 23:00 and 23:30hs.

MACBA the best of our Contemporary Art

The history of the Museum Contemporary Art (MACBA) goes back to 1959 when art critic Alexandre Cirici Pellicer championed the idea of creating a museum of contemporary art in Barcelona.
The MACBA, designed by American architect Richard Meier, is clearly based on rationalism and alludes to the masters of modern architecture, particularly Le Corbusier.
The museum renews its expositions on a regular base and we recomend you to visit the expositions and at the same time explore the architecture of the museum itself.

During summer (from 24th June to 24th September) the MACBA is open the Thursday and Friday until midnight for a friendly price.
The MACBA museum is located in the "Raval" district, in the Plaça del Angels number 1. And the price for visit all the museum cost 7,50€

In the neighborhoud of the MACBA you'll find lots of bars, terraces and restaurants and it's the favorate playground of the skating comunity in Barcelona.

San Valentín and Snow in Barcelona

What a better combination than snow and valentines day! There is no doubt that a bit of snow makes the event more romantic than a typical rainy February day.
Although there was not much of it and in some places it stayed no more than 0,5 seconds, snow in Barcelona is a rarity and thus its a memorable moment. Maybe next year there will be more? Or should we all move Valentines day to the beginning of January?
We hope you have a hot Valentines day!

BBB - Jardinets and BBB-Güell in Barcelone city trip

We had a visit a few month ago of Sarah, which work for a guide in France: "Barcelona city trip by Petit Futé".
She has written this review in the French Guide about our Bed and Breakfast Jardinets and Güell:

Bus to Barcelona Airport

Barcelona has two busses that connect fast and easy with the Airport. The Barcelona Airport ("El Pratt") is located at 20km south of the city. As this airport has 2 separate terminals, there are two busses. Terminal T1 is recently opened and very modern while T2 was built for the Olympic Games of 1992.

You'll find these busses easily: The are bright-blue and stop directly outside their corresponding terminal. Both connect directly to the city center with only 3 stops: The first at Plaza España, the second at Plaza Universidad and finally at Plaza Cataluya just in front of the Corte Ingles.

The price for a one-way ticket is € 4,25 though you can also buy a two-way ticket for € 7,30. Please note that the two-way ticket is valid for no more than 8 days.

The busses leave every 10 minutes between 05:30 AM and 01:00 AM (just after midnight)
