Picasso Museum

"The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is a key reference for understanding the formative years of Pablo Ruiz Picasso. the genius of the young artist is revealed through the more than 3.800 works that make up the permanent collection. Furthermore, the Museo Picasso, opened in 1963, also reveals his deep relationship with Barcelona: an intimate, solid relationship that was shaped in his adolescence and youth, and continued until his death."

The Picasso Museum is located in the old city: "El Born" in the Montcada street, number 15. you can arrive walking or by metro (Jaume I station, line 4).

It's open every Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00hs to 20:00hs, and the ticket cost 9€, but the sunday, between 15:00 to 20:00hs is free.

  1. The Picasso Museum in Barcelona (entrance shown, right) is in the heart of the old city on the Carrer Moncada and since its recent expansion now sprawls over a row of five Gothic palaces once - in late medieval times - home to Barcelona's aristocrats.
