Casa Batlló, the master piece of Antoni Gaudí

It is one of Gaudí's best buildings, even though he only redesigned the old façade, making the building more beautiful and converted the main floor into a home, taking care to respect the old building.
The interior courtyard is covered in ceramic pieces designed by Gaudí, which begin in dark blue at the top, followed by lighter blues and finally white at the bottom. The banisters are worthy of note. There is a terrace on the top floor and a tower covered in bits of glass, crowned by a marble coloured cross which is strangely broken, but Gaudí did not seem to mind this.
